Amlodipine


Amlodipine, a calcium-channel blockers, used alone or in conjunction with benazepril to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), chronic stable angina pectoris, and Prinzmetal’s variant angina.

Indications:
For treatment of high blood pressure, chronic stable angina, and vasospastic angina .

Dosage:
The dose administered orally (by mouth) of 2.5-5 mg, 1 time a day dose may be increased to 10 mg by mouth (orally), 1 time a day if needed. Maximum dose: 10 mg / day

Side Effects:
CV effects (depression of cardiac function, hypotension, worsening heart failure, edema, bradycardia); GI effects (constipation); CNS effects (headache, dizziness). HR regulate calcium antagonists (such as Diltiazem, Verapamil Gallopamil &); decomposition of AV, AV block, sinus bradycardia & stem disorders. Brief interactions dihydropyridine agents should be avoided because it has the potential increased risks of heart deterioration.

Special Instructions:
Berkontra-indications in patients who clearly lose heart failure, although vasoselective dihydropyridine (such as Amlodipine, felodipine) may persist in patients with reduced LVEF. HR which regulates calcium antagonist berkontra-indications to patients with bradycardia, sinus disorders rod & AV nodal block.
