Nifedipine 10 mg Tab

Nifedipine works as an antagonist of calcium by inhibiting the flow of calcium ions into cardiac muscle cells from the outside. Since smooth muscle contraction depends on extra cellular calcium ions, then the presence of calcium antagonists may cause a negative inotropic effect. Likewise, the Sino Atrial node (SA) and Atrio ventricular (AV) will cause a negative kronotropik and slowing AV conduction.
