Beraprost

:

Beraprost is a synthetic analogue of prostacyclin. Beraprost enlarge the blood vessels, prevents platelet aggregation and prevents proliferation (proliferation), smooth muscle cells around blood vessels.

Indications:

To treat pulmonary hypertension.

Dosage:

60-120 mcg / day by mouth (orally) in 3 divided doses.

Side Effects:

CNS effects (headache); Effects of CV (skin redness face, redness of skin that feels hot, shock); GI effects (diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain); metabolic effects (increased triglycerides): Dermatology (rash); Hepatic Effects (change LFT); rare hypersensitivity reactions.

Special Instructions:

Berkontraindikasi in patients with active bleeding, hemophilia.

Use with caution in patients with bleeding risk.

Use with caution in patients taking agenantikoagulant or antiplatelet.

Discontinue use 4-5 days before surgery.
