Liquid acyclovir

Acyclovir including antiviral drug classes used to treat infections caused bycertain types of viruses. These drugs can treat the wound or a lump filled withwater around the mouth caused by herpes simplex, herpes zoster and chickenpox. It can also be used to treat genital herpes (herpes in the sex organs).

Acyclovir is an antiviral drug, but is actually not a drug to kill the herpes virus orchicken pox. Viruses that cause infections continue to live in the body, but these drugs can reduce the severity and speed healing.

This medicine helps heal wounds or bumps that occur more quickly, preventingthe emergence of new lesions or lumps, and re lieve pain and itching. Moreover, in people with weakened immune systems, these drugs can reduce the risk of virus spread to other parts of the body and cause serious infections. Acyclovir can be obtained only by prescription.

Composition

Liquid (50383-810) acyclovir 200 mg in 5 ml

Indication

1. herpes simplex

2. herpes zoster

3. Genital herpes (herpes in the sex organs

4. Chicken pox (chicken pox)

Contraindications

Patients who are hypersensitive to the drug class of Acyclovir and valacyclovir.

Dose

Per oral (by mouth)

1. In the treatment of acute zoster HEPES

800 mg every 4 hours, 5xsehari orally for 7-10 days.

2. In the treatment of genital herpes

200 mg every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 10 days.

3. In the treatment for chickenpox

Children (> 2 years):

20 mg / kg 4xsehari dose (80 mg / kg per day) for 5 days. Children over 40 kgshould receive adult doses.

Adults and children above 40 kg:

4xsehari 800 mg for 5 days.
