Netilmicin

:

Netilmicin is aminoglycoside antibiotics. This antibiotic has the ability to turn off varioustypes of bacteria. Netilmicin is not absorbed from the intestine, therefore only be givenby injection or infusion.

Indications:

To treat serious bacterial infections and severe, especially for those who are resistant togentacimin.

Dosage:

7.5mg/kg/hari through a vein (intra-vascular), with divided dose, repeat every 8 hours

Reduce to 6 mg / kg / day through a vein (intra-vascular), immediately after being declared clinically within 48 hours.

Side Effects:

Ototoxic effects (can cause ototoxicity that can not be changed, in the form of hearingloss, dizziness, vertigo); renal effects (nephrotoxicity that can be changed, acute renal failure reported to occur usually when other nephrotoxic drugs are also given);neuromuscular effects (inhibition of which produces neuromuscular depression row andmuscular paralysis); hypersensitivity reaction.

Special Instructions:

Ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity are most likely found in geriatric patients and patients whoare dehydrated, in patients receiving high doses or who take medication for a long time,those who also receive or have received other nephrotoxic or ototoxic drugs. (Notesupervision or peak serum concentration and serum concentration / MIC ratio in this patient)

Use with caution in patients with a condition associated with muscle weakness (eg,myasthenia gravis, Parkinson’s disease), patients who have renal dysfunction, vestibularor cochlear damage.
