Nicorandil

:

Nicorandil is part of a type of medicine known as a potassium channel Openers and is used to treat angina pectoris.Nicorandil works by expanding blood vessels, relax the smooth muscle of blood vessels, especially the system of blood vessels (blood vessels that carry blood to the heart).

Indications:

Used to treat angina pectoris.

Dose:

By mouth (orally) 10-20 mg, two times daily

Maximum dose: 30 mg by mouth (orally), a total of two times a day.

Side Effects:

CNS effects (headaches, which normally switch, weakness); Effects of CV (vasodilation, turbulent, hypotension, HR increased); Securities GI (N / V, oral ulcerations)

Special Instructions:

Avoid use in patients who experience cardiogenic shock, with low pressure LV failure and hypotension.

Use with caution in patients with SBP (systolic Blood Pressure) is low, hypovolaemia or acute pulmonary edema.
