Sibutramine

:

Sibutramine is a diet helper. Sibutramine works by regulating chemicals in the appetite centers in the brain to cause a decrease in hunger or desire temporary food.

Indications:

To treat obesity may be associated with diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure.

Dosage:

The initial dose: 10 mg by mouth (orally), every day

May increase the dose to 15 mg by mouth (per roal), every day jiak insufficient response (weight loss of 2 kg dalam4 weeks or body weight decreased by 5 kg in 3 months), explained that 10 mg well tolerated.

Implementation:

Gulp the whole bottle in the morning with enough fluids.

Side Effects:

Most occur during the first 4 weeks of therapy, the severity and frequency diminished over time.

Discontinue if weight loss can go back ≥ 3 kg.

Monitor blood pressure and heart rate as often as possible: Every 2 weeks for 2 months, then do each month.

Special Instructions:

Berkontraindikasi with obese patients caused by organic dysfunction, patients with a history of eating disorders, patients with mental illness, patients taking other drugs to overcome the CNS, patients who have a history or a new experience areri coronary disease (CAD), congestive heart failure (CHF ), heart rhythm disorders, including tachycardia, occlusive arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, patients with inadequately controlled hypertension, hyperthyroidism, BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) with urine storage, pheochromocytoma or narrowing of the angle glaucoma.

Use with caution in patients with seizures, mild to moderate liver dysfunction, or a family history of the movement “tics” (recurring)
