Terazosin



Gliclazide is an oral anti-diabetic who is classified as a sulfonylurea. Gliclazide increases the amount of insulin released pancreas and helps the body use insulin more efficiently.

Indications:

To treat diabetes mellitus type 2 (non-insulin dependent).

Dosage:

The release of regular:

The initial dose: 40-80 mg by mouth (orally), 1-2 times daily.

Increase dose based on patient reaction.

Dose> 160 mg / day should be divided into 2 times a day.

Maximum Dose: 320 mg / day

Extended release:

The initial dose: 30 mg by mouth (orally), 1 times daily.

Increase dose with an increase of 30 mg at a distance of 2-4 weeks, based on the patient’s reaction.

Usual dose: 30-120 mg by mouth (orally), 1 times daily.

Implementation:

Give at breakfast.

Side Effects:

Hypoglycemia, allergic reactions, weight, dose-related increase in GI.

It may encourage the emergence of adverse GI reactions.

Special Instructions:

Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver failure.

Should not be used in case of DKA, major surgery, severe infection, stress or trauma, allergic to sulfur.
