Voglibose

:

Voglibose are alpha-glucosaide inhibitor used to reduce the levels of post-prandialblood sugar in people with diabetes mellitus. Voglibose delay the absorption of glucose, thereby reducing risk of macrovascular complications.

Indications:

To treat diabetes mellitus.

Dosage:

By mouth (orally) 0.2 mg before meals.

May increase the dose to 0.3 mg by mouth (orally), 3 times daily before meals.

Implementation:

Give the dose to begin eating first.

Side Effects:

Gi effects such as flatulence, swelling. Hepatotoxicity may occur with Acarbose.

It may give impetus to the emergence of adverse GI reactions.

Special Instructions:

Should be avoided in patients with GI disorders
