Alprenolol


Alprenolol is a beta-blocker non-selective are used in the treatment of hypertension, edema, ventricular tachycardias, and artial fibrillation. Alprenolol is nonpolar and hydrophobic, with low to moderate solubility. Indications: For treatment of hypertension, seizures and arrhythmia.

Dosage:
200-400 mg / day according to the prescribed dose.

Side effects:
CNS effects (fatigue, depression, dizziness, confusion, sleep disturbances); Securities CV (heart failure, heart blockage, cold, impotence in men); Effects in a row (bronchospasma in patients who are vulnerable & drugs with beta1 should be used selectively in these patients); Securities GI (N / V, diarrhea, constipation); metabolic effects (may produce hyper or hypoglycemia, changes in serum cholesterol & triglyceride levels.

Special Instructions:
Berkontra-indications with bradycardia, before there is a high degree AV block, sick sinus syndrome and LV failure that is not stable. Use with caution in patients bronchopasma, asthma, respiratory obstruction or disease. Use with caution with first degree block, depression, patients with PVD, and patients who use insulin. Beta-blockers may mask symptoms of hypoglycemia and hyperthyroidism & may exacerbate psoriasis. Long-term Patients should not stop with flip- arrive, must be stopped gradually over 1-2 weeks.
